The ncurses interface is really ugly

We should probably add some color or something. Maybe a status bar between the input box and the message display.

It doesn't look too bad to present it. It's basic (and more advanced than the basic UI) but functional. I wish we could assign priority to these messages. I'm going to make a low-priority label.
