How to add PAN on IT Portal ?

This guide explains how to add a new PAN account in the JAMKU IT module. Please follow the steps carefully to ensure proper setup and usage.

Step 1: Log in to the JAMKU Portal

• Open your browser and visit the JAMKU portal
• Enter your credentials to log in.

Step 2: Open the IT Module

• Once logged in, you'll see the dashboard.
• Click on the "IT" module to access the Income Tax section.

Step 3: Add a New PAN

• At the bottom-left of the screen, locate the search bar.
• Click the “Add” button next to it.
• The Add New PAN dialog box will appear.
• At the top-right of this dialog, you'll see the number of PANs remaining in your account balance.

Step 4: Fill in PAN Details

Field	Description
Name (mandatory)	Internal reference name for the PAN (can differ from actual PAN name).
PAN (mandatory)	Valid 10-character PAN number.
Password (optional if using vault)	Set a secure password for the PAN account in the system.
Traces Password	Required only if you plan to download Form 26AS or large AIS files.
Client No.	Internal reference number (optional).
Group No.	Group number for categorization (optional).
Group	Categorize the PAN under a client group (optional).
Return Applicability	Select applicable options:
	- Tax Audit Report
	- Transfer Pricing (you can select either or both)
Legal Heir	Select only if the PAN belongs to a legal heir.

Step 5: Save

• After filling in all relevant details, click the SAVE button.
• The PAN will be added to the software.

Important Notes

1. PAN Balance Reduces Upon Addition: Every new PAN added decreases your available balance.
2. Deleted PANs Do Not Restore Balance: Deleting a PAN does not increase your balance. Add PANs carefully.
3. PAN Name vs. Software Name: The name you enter in the software for the PAN can be different from the official name as per the PAN card.
