How to add TAN on TDS Portal ?

Follow the steps below carefully to set up and use a TAN account correctly in the JAMKU IT module for the TDS portal.

Step 1: Log in to the JAMKU Portal

• Open your preferred browser and go to the JAMKU portal
• Enter your login credentials and sign in.

Step 2: Open the IT Module

• After logging in, you will be taken to the dashboard.
• Click on the "IT" module to access the Income Tax/TDS section.

Step 3: Add a New TAN

• On the bottom-left of the screen, locate the search bar.
• Click the “Add” button next to the search bar.
• The Add New Acoount dialog box will appear.
• In the top-right corner of this dialog, you’ll see the number of TANs remaining in your account balance.

Step 4: Fill in TAN Details

Field	Description
Name (mandatory)	Internal reference name for the TAN (can differ from the official TAN holder’s name).
TAN (mandatory)	Valid 10-character TAN number (e.g., DELT12345A).
Traces User ID	User ID used for accessing TRACES (TDS portal).
Traces Password	Password for the TRACES portal (required if downloads like Form 16, 26Q, etc., are needed).
IT Password	Password for the corresponding IT e-Filing account, if applicable.
Client No.	Internal temporary reference number (optional).
Group No.	Internal group number for categorization (optional).

Step 5: Save

• Once all mandatory and relevant optional fields are filled out, click SAVE.
• The TAN will now be added to the system.

Important Notes

• TAN Balance Reduces Upon Addition: Each new TAN added decreases your available TAN quota.
• Deleted TANs Do Not Restore Balance: Once a TAN is deleted, it does not restore your available balance. Add entries with care.
