Scandic letters(ä,ö,å) stripped from breadcrumb

> using the plugin and it works great. I noticed that while searching with a keyword that has scandic letters(ä,ö,å), search works fine and returns articles that contain the keyword. But breadcrum and “Search Results for: keyword” removes scandic letters from the keyword. Is there a posibilty to fix this issue?
