Read only mode allows modifications/writes

Describe the bug

Enable read only mode, still shows mini one line keyboard of characters like > which then get inserted into the file. Then when exiting are prompted to save/write

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open settings
2. Enable read only
3. Open file
4. No keyboard, but bottom line visible and usable.

Expected behavior

Either bottom line has no effect, or do not display bottom line (not sure what the mini keyboard is called)
