For the Amazon Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu Server operating systems, the CodeDeploy agent is updated when a new version is released. You can install the CodeDeploy agent updater for Windows Server after or instead of the CodeDeploy agent. The agent is updated whenever a new version is detected. You can also force updates on all supported operating systems by running a command on an instance.
