Samsung C49RG9x says no supported VCP features despite it being controllable with ddccontrol

I am able to successfully control this monitor and do things like input switching using ddccontrol on linux but ddcswitch on windows reports no VCP features found if I run the get command on it. Because I am using ddccontrol to control the monitor, I happen to know input switching is on 0x60 (along with which numerical values correspond to which inputs) and if I try to run get specifically with 0x60 I just get an error that communication failed. Any ideas? Anything else to try as a workaround?
