Can we save multiple tables in a csv?

I was trying to save multiple tables in the same csv (Same Sheet). For this, I simply concatenated the second table in the string of the first table, however, the library only writes the first table, leaving out the second one. Is there any other way to do so?

The current method for handling multiple tables in the html document is to write each table to its own sheet. To also support writing a second table to the same sheet, you'd have to somehow specify that you want that option in the html. I suppose giving the two tables the same name attribute makes the most sense for that since the name attribute of the table is used for the sheet name.

We also have to decide where on the sheet to put the table. Immediately below or to the right? With a blank row or column between? Should there be some specification in the html that allows the html to set the starting cell for the data?

To write all tables to the same sheet, you can do this:

from tablepyxl.tablepyxl import get_Tables, write_rows
from premailer import Premailer

def document_to_one_sheet_xl(doc, filename):
    wb = document_to_one_sheet_workbook(doc)
    wb.save(filename)

def document_to_one_sheet_workbook(doc):
    wb = Workbook()
    sheet = wb.active

    inline_styles_doc = Premailer(doc, remove_classes=False).transform()
    tables = get_Tables(inline_styles_doc)

    row = 1
    for table in tables:
        if table.head:
            row = write_rows(worksheet, table.head, row, column)
        if table.body:
            row = write_rows(worksheet, table.body, row, column)

    return wb

and then call document_to_one_sheet_xl the same way you would call document_to_xl (pass it a string with the html and a filename).

I'm going to reopen this issue because I think the library can support this in document_to_xl if two tables have the same name.
