Background
After talking with @joverhul I think we should provide a feature to users who need to import commonly used pre-trained models. Currently we only have documented the process of downloading/uploading models into the pFDA environment. While this is functional, it might be cumbersome or tedious when having to import the same models over and over again.
Open Questions
- Which models should be included into a pre-compiled script?
These can be uploaded into the pFDA shared Space. Once we have these uploaded and identified, I can write a script to automate the download of these files onto a workstation
- How many different model scripts should we provide?
- Do we need to create separate snapshots for this, or should we just download necessary files at runtime?
If the files are not too large, they can be packaged into a pre-built snapshot. The only downside to this method is that they will need to be rebuilt whenever models need to be updated.
