Tearoff menuitems

Can you add a CSS class tearoff to tearoff menuitems? or can you drop them? :)

I thought tearoff menus/menuitems have not worked since GTK2. Do you have menus that can be separated from the rest of the window working in any modern version of MATE?

They still work with GTK 3.x. I don't know of any other applications that use them except Gimp 2 and maybe Inkscape.

Interesting. Anyway, I don't recall ever being able to tear off menus possibly just now knowing how to do so or which ones are supposed to support it. GIMP has a variety of tools and options windows that can be docked or detached, but these are not menus
