Prices in inventory

Nice Plugin!

Would be awesome if you could also see the prices in the inventory, any chance on adding this? I might even dig into the code myself and submit a PR if you're interested

Hi,
with the current setup it should be relative easy to add support for this.

Main issue would be to find the right event that gets fired when you hover to an item in the inventory.
This event should contain the OnlineProductWrapper found here: BakkesModSDK

If you are able to provide me the event name, I can then add the support for it. (Pretty much the same way as item drops)

• Item Drop Show: PriceCheck.cpp#L229

This is not currently top priority, but I understand it would give more value for the casual user, thus this should get implemented at some point to the plugin.

Currently looking to add Item drops and Trade Ins (the code base already has snippets on them, but not yet active on the live version)

Are there any resources about these events? Google doesn't spit out any for me. I even tried searching through the Bakkesmod source code, but I wasn't lucky either :( The only thing I found was this reddit, which references a channel in their discord server, that does not seem to exist anymore

I've already checked a few events, and unfortunately there are no events that trigger in the same way as item drops.

It is far from optimal and I need to review the events and look for better options, because currently it needs a bit too much extra logic to get it to work, but it works?

BakkesMod has built-in tools to look for these events. However you will need to set additional command line parameters for Rocket League to get the tool to work.
Add -dev to Rocket Leagues cmd parameters and then in-game open up BM console and type: openmenu devtools

But the tool might be a bit overwhelming if you aren't sure what you are doing.

Thank you for the quick introduction.
I could not find an event for the actual hover, neither with mouse nor controller, but as you say, the output is a bit overwhelming to me.
I isolated a few events, that I think could be useful. You will probably have a better eye for the plausibility of the event names.
The one I assumed is most likely to be useful is Function TAGame.GFxData_ContainerDrops_TA.GetMatchingProductSeries, based on call count, reproducability and name.

Hi,
I hit an dead end on this one atm. Unable to retrieve information if user is viewing an blueprint or an item.

Currently listening on:
Function TAGame.GFxData_ContainerDrops_TA.GetMatchingProductSeries to know when user hovers to a new item.
Function TAGame.OnlineProduct_TA.GetProduct then save the 1st product given from this event.

The GetProduct will trigger multiple times, as it will get every item on the series, also this is fired when user scrolls the inventory so isn't that reliable alone. However this is the only one that has the OnlineProduct that we need to display the item information.

Biggest issue is that the game somehow will give the product of the blueprint and not the blueprint itself. So the code works fine on normal items, but when user hovers on blueprints it will show the prices of the item in the blueprint and not the blueprint price.

I wouldn't mind if you always show the blueprint prices along with the item prices, e.g.

Toon Sketch
Titanium White
[400 - 500] (BP: [0 - 20])

However, I can totally understand if you don't want to put more effort in this one. Thanks for considering it, though

I know this is an old thread, but as a relatively new user I can attest that this feature would be great. Even if you couldn't display the blueprint prices, this would still be great (a note about how prices are for products of blueprints, not for blueprints themselves, would clear up confusion.

Although, as qw3ry said, if you don't want to put even more work on this for any reason, we all completely understand. This is still a super useful plugin without it.

As both qw3ry and thunderelectric stated, if it's too much of of a work, we understand that if you don't want to put more hours into this. This plugin has help me countless times and I'm still using to this very day.

And I believe that if we can even just get the prices of the normal items in the inventory to show up, people ultimately would be more glad about using this plugin.
