Support oEmbed protocol

Hey,

for some usecases, it would be great if the mave player, in addition to the current embeds, would support the oEmbed standard (https://oembed.com/). For example, we for a couple of projects we use Wagtail (a widely used CMS for the django web framework) which has built in support for oEmbed and would make adding embeds for the mave player as easy as adding the oEmbed URL scheme and oEmbed API endpoint.

We actually removed oEmbed support some time ago. As far as I know oEmbed is mainly designed for shareable media URLs, it provides a structured API response for a public page that can be embedded elsewhere. Mave doesn't offer public, shareable URLs at this time, but only private, embeddable video endpoints. Because of that, oEmbed support doesn't really fit our setup and that's why we removed it.

That said, I understand your use case with Wagtail. But to completely understand: what URL would you give Wagtail and would the iframe embed be the oEmbed preferable way (as you won't use the component library)?

Ah. Well the idea would be to use the publicly shareable urls, but if those are not offered anyway it indeed doesn't make much sense at the moment.
