• Must be from a measurably-evolving pop; the goal is to have challenging data sets to test new methods on
• Must be an aligment and sequence names need to have date, location, genbank id, etc
• Every data set must be accompanied by a helpful description of what it is and which features it is known to have
• Must come with a citation to the data-generating people/lab/study
