Feature Request: Punctuation treatment in lyric URL request

Today listening to Marshall Crenshaw's debut LP the lyrics for "Rockin' Around In N.Y.C." would not appear in MAI. I checked and Genius shows the title punctuated as I have it, but their lyrics URL removes the periods. It is possible MAI could automatically lookup this variation (punctuation deleted) if it fails on first lookup?

Could you please provide a server.log file after you've enabled INFO logging for plugin.musicartistinfo and tried to bring up those lyrics? It would tell me what exactly it's looking for.
