Shields-overflow not showing

Hello, after pre-patch shields overflow is dont working in my old settings. I also tried to create a new profile and this setting didn't work in it either. I tried different settings in the menu, but not one of them did not work as I wanted. It only works if you put the type on the line, but in this case the number of shields is not visible.
Grid2 version: 3.0.12

Shield overflow status is not available in midnight due to blizzard restrictions, can only be used as a line indicator, and probably this dont even work in M+ dungeons.

Can we get some in-addon indicator that will inform which features are unavailable due to midnight restrictions (and therefore won't waste time chasing/reporting 'bugs')?

Im wasting time reading the posts too. Sorry grid2 is a 15 years old addon with so many features, that i dont even know which features are broken or not.
Yes i could spend time adding code and messages to inform players, instead of fixing the trillion of things blizard broke with midnight.
Dont worry probably you are not going to waste much more time, because i am close to giving up with this.

I understand your frustration, and my intention wasn’t to nag.
It’s just that if the addon has some functionalities that aren’t supposed to work on each version of the game (mostly Retail, due to the latest restrictions), clearly indicating which features are expected to (not) work would provide clarity to users and, in turn, reduce the number of reported issues.

Sorry for the rant, my apologies to GusIG, im a bit exhausted today . I am spending hours reviewing the blizzard unit frames code, thousand of lines of code, trying to find a good workaround to fix a critical issue, and i cannot see the end of this.

You are doing a fucking amazing job - sadly people are extremely demanding these days but that's not on you or your fault. You are providing us with a decent working version already! Please don't give up ❤️

And nobody needs indicators for which features are broken or not, honestly. Don't even spend a thought on that!
This is coming from someone who has been using your addon for over a decade! I would never go back to anything else.

Blizzard breaking things every expansion or patch, especially with Midnight, is not something you can magically fix overnight right?!
I'm sure everything is gonna work out just fine =)

In version 3.0.15 i added the missing health-deficit status. Thanks to this addition the overflow info can be displayed in a separate multibar indicator using a trick. This can be used to display any overflow value: overflow of shields overflow of heals, etc.

• Create an extra multibar indicator with two bars.
• The first bar must display the health-deficit status in REVERSE order.
• The second bar must display the Shields status (not the shields overflow).
• This should display the overflow in the multibar.

There is a option in "Layout" Tab called "Reverse Fill"
This option should be enough to change all bars from the left to the right, but due to a bug this option is not working (more than a bug is really a non finished feature).
I will try to finish/fix this on next update.

There is another way to do this without the reverse fill but is too convoluted, because the main bar cannot be anchored to the right. So you must use 3 bars, Main Bar, bar1, and Bar2
-Now the main bar show be ignored (configure the bar to display any unused status and in reverse so the bar is always non-visible)

• Assign health-deficit to Bar 1, Anchor the bar1 to "Frame Ending" (Frame ending is the right side of the frame) (Frame start is the left side)
• Assign shields to bar 2, anchor this bar to the previous bar and REVERSE this bar.

You can update to version 3.0.16-beta, in this version the "Reverse Fill" option in Layout tab, should work correctly.
So a two bars multibar indicator should be enough to replicate the desired behaviour.

In a future version i will try to enable the ability to use the same status in several bars of the same multibar indicator (this is tricky because by design one status can not be used twice in the same indicator, so its an important change that could break other things).

This future change will allow configuring all bars (healths, incoming heals, shields, health-deficit+shields to simulate overshield, etc) using only one multibar indicator.

i played around with the settings a bit, but what i've noticed is that it starts showing the "shield overflow" (purple) even before i am max health and/or the shield (green) reaches the end of the healthbar - if that makes sense? xD

Maybe i am missing something, but i see nothing wrong on the screenshots.
I measured the size of the bars in pixels in the screenshots and the overflow bar displayed to the right is exactly the shield amount (green bar width) - missing health (black/gray bar width).
