Plugin requires conda to operate

Conda (regardless of its merits) is a tool many corp IT teams block due to the licensing requirement for commercial usage.

There should be a way to edit the code in notebooks without having to install it (uv or an alternative 'free' conda repo maintained by Microsoft).
