Any examples publishing to GH packages?

Hello, in a private repo I'm trying to publish to Github packages via Github Actions and am seemingly running into different authentication errors. I was wondering if there were any known examples or walkthroughs with a similar setup. Currently I'm getting Unable to authenticate, need: Basic realm="GitHub Package Registry with registry set to "https://npm.pkg.github.com" in my package.json.
