Blank button upon opening on Linux

Blank button opens on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS) when opening the app from the topbar. Clicking it will open the app.

Any ideas? Is it the menubar package?

Looks like others are having issues with it as well: max-mapper/menubar#40. I'll try to see if theres a way around this
