SCPH-1200 PS1 controllers in 2PLY mode results in jumping values on one of them.

I am having issues with my two old gray SCPH-1200 PSX controllers in 2PLY analog mode on Reflex Adapt, latest MPG firmware 2.01:

• One of the two controllers will show analog stick values jumping around sometimes sticking to -127 for a while
• Each controller works perfectly fine in 1PLY mode, only 2PLY mode is the problem. The controllers both work fine on real hardware and with SNAX.
• I tried the special new PSX-1200 Test Combo that was introduced in FW 2.01 as well, but it shows the same problem
• Tested with Utility->Input Test->"hold select"->Advanced on MiSTer.

Thanks! I tested pre3, the issue remains.

The weird thing is that my problem only happens in 2PLY mode. As soon as I remove one controller, it all works (each controller separate on its own works). So, this must be something in the code, or something electrical, that only affects 2PLY

I made a test: I disabled second controller polling in the file Input_Psx.h, and removed rumble via these changes:

And the problem remains! Controller 2 is not even being read anymore, not being shown on the OLED, but still it affects controller 1. As soon as I plug in controller 2, controller 1 shows the problem: analog values sometimes jump and often stick at -127 or -126 after moving a stick. As soon as I remove the controller 2, the problem on controller 1 goes away.

Could it be an electrical problem? Maybe controller 2 is sending something even without ATT. Or maybe there is some voltage reduction when controller 2 is connected.

The problem is not limited to analog values. When analog is disabled (red analog light off) on both controllers, the button values on controller 1 also give wrong readings (triangle plus flickering circle when pressing only triangle for example), only in 2PLY mode. When removing controller 2, that problem also goes away.

I think that is the answer! The back of my Reflex Adapt says "V1".

I tried with SCPH-1080 as second controller and also with SCPH-110 as second controller. The problem remains. The hardware is the problem. I will try to order the new v2 once it is available again.
