The module 'mlx.core.metal' has no attribute 'device_info'?

I want to get the device info show in official doc,, because I want to test the gpu and cpu, so I follow the document said, but when I run mlx.core.device_info(mx.DeviceType.gpu), there is an error

AttributeError: module 'mlx.core.metal' has no attribute 'device_info'

❓ How can I get the device info?

I work on:

• m5 platform
• mlx 0.7

You need mx.device_info(mx.gpu), not mx.metal.device_info(...). mx.metal only exposes backend helpers like availability checks, so that attribute error is expected.
