Does this wake the car up more frequently than the stock version? #3

Question: What do you mean when you say that "the original Tesla component has issues with the wakeup feature"? I haven't poked around too much, but it seems like you're waking up the car every update_interval to force it to update, whereas the stock one won't wake the car if it's sleeping.
Waking the car up constantly causes lots of issues with "phantom drain" where the battery gets low overnight; if you have charging at home it's not an issue, but I have limited charging so battery life is an issue for me.
I mainly ask because it's very possible I have it completely backwards, and I want to double-check before swapping over.
