v1.3.1 shows white blank screen on open

Hello a fresh new install of FireFoo v1.3.1 just shows an empty white page. That version may be busted. I cannot add any new databases. It did detect my local google auth, showing me my email in the via app notification.

v1.2.20 seems to correctly initialize with all my google firebase projects.

I am running macOS Big Sur, version 11.6.2. Macbook Pro 15-inch 2019.

When upgrading from v1.2.20 -> v1.3.1, v1.3.1 seems to be working (shrug)

Thanks for reporting! That's the first time we've heard about this issue and we cannot reproduce it ourselves.
Can you clarify what exactly you mean by 1) "fresh new install" and 2) "blank screen"?

1. Did you ever use Firefoo before? Maybe you tried a version that's even older than v1.2.20 before? We safe the state in ~/.firefoo/state.bin, maybe that was corrupted?

2. Was the page completely white or did you see the sidebar with the "Add Project" button on top? Some parts of the Firefoo application seemed to render fine, otherwise you could not have seen the notification.

Hi @xathis. I just downloaded a brand new install of Firefoo and test it out and I got stuck at "initializing firefoo". Deleting state.bin and relaunching worked for me. Until I closed Firefoo and did this, it would hang at the initializing screen and I couldn't select anything.

rm ~/.firefoo/state.bin

Once it managed to launch, it was telling me my trial had expired, though.

I'm going to go ahead and purchase a license to try the program because it looks promising- fingers crossed.

I had the same problem with Firefoo 3.1.17 (on Fedora 36): a blank, empty, window.

From command line I get:

My solution was to add --disable-gpu in command line (the same solution I used for Microsoft teams for a similar problem):

$> Firefoo --disable-gpu
