Unknow date [0x900C]: Date of first unbalanced occurrence?

I noticed all my batteries that have been unbalanced or are unbalanced have a date here but it is only a small sample size. I'm not sure the cut off but the smallest imbalance on a battery I've never balanced is 394mV (MAX-MIN) with a total imbalance of 1,320mV on a 8.0 HO.

tl;dr I think you may be right and the threshold is somewhere between 174 mV and 280mV of imbalance?

I'll continue to monitor 0796431_12.0hd to see if it adds the date anytime soon.

You could be on to something. It matches up with my batteries, and mostly matches up with what has been submitted to us. There's 2 outliers where the imbalance is only 5mV and 24mV, but it could be a false trigger or that person balanced their pack.

Definitely looks like everything over 200mV has that date set. I can see 1 pack at 64mV with the date, but then another at 69mV without it. Could be based on total imbalance.

I'll try to test on an older battery to see if I can find the trigger point by discharging one bank of cells.

On a side note, I've balanced the 2 out of 3 batteries that were out of imbalanced and no other values have changed consistently. Beside the values related to days/dates the other changes were 0x9148 +1 (nothing between reading balancing and reading), and 0x914A +1 (was put on a light to drain before balancing) on the other. It doesn't appear they track charging (voltage increase) at a cell level.
