im on a ubuntu laptop.
im sorry for asking a dumb question but at the Terminal, i typed in your command: pip install -r requirements.txt
it yielded errors: externally-managed -environment

strangely, when i run: python3 m18.py
it seems to work by asking me to select a port and i selected the usb port.
m.health() will give errors though
read_id: failed with error: empty response.

im new to linux. i really appreciate your time and help

Are you trying to use pip from within python?

Open new terminal and try it as your first command. If it still fails, try "pip install pyserial" then "pip install requests"

Surprisingly large imbalance for such a new pack. Relatively light use, too. The 5Ah are usually very reliable. Around that time they did use EVE 25P instead of Samsung 25R, unfortunately it's very hard to tell as they have identical wrapper colour.

How old? Before 2016 didnt have protocol. 2015 had charger protocol but no diagnostics. Try the following commands

for the 5ah i posted, is it possible i damaged it using 1 of these adapter to power my Dyson vacuum?

I don't think so. Dyson's are 6s (21.6V) devices, so should cutoff well before 12.5V
