Report Bugs

Found a bug in Link Sanitizer? We want to know! Reporting bugs helps us fix problems and make Link Sanitizer better for everyone.

How to Report a Bug

  1. Describe the problem: Tell us what went wrong. Be clear and specific.
    • What were you doing when the bug happened?
    • What did you expect to happen?
    • What actually happened?
    • Did you get any error messages? If so, what did they say?
  2. Give us the link: If the bug happened with a specific link, please share it with us. This helps us see the problem for ourselves.
  3. Tell us your browser: Which browser are you using (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.)?
  4. Tell us your operating system: Which operating system are you using (Windows, macOS, Linux, etc.)?
  5. Go to GitHub Issues: The best way to report a bug is on our GitHub Issues page.
    • Click the "New issue" button.
    • Give your bug report a clear title (e.g., "Shorten button not working").
    • Write your bug report in the text box.
    • Click "Submit new issue".

Title: Shorten button not working on long links

Description:

When I try to shorten very long links, the "Shorten" button doesn't do anything. I expected the link to be shortened, but nothing happens. I'm using Chrome on Windows 10.
