Feature Request: Option to Disable "Online Required" Features (Offline Mode)

Summary

This proposal introduces an optional setting that allows users to disable all network communication within the modcore Extension Manager. When enabled, the system would automatically block all outgoing server requests and deactivate any features that require an internet connection.

The purpose is to provide greater transparency and control for users who prefer to use modcore entirely offline, or who wish to limit data exchange for privacy or security reasons.

Details

When “Offline Mode” is activated:

• All network requests (such as fetch and XMLHttpRequest calls) are intercepted and prevented from reaching external servers.
• Features that depend on online connectivity (for example, content fetching) will be temporarily disabled.
• The UI will clearly indicate when a feature is unavailable due to offline restrictions.
• Users can re-enable online functionality at any time via the settings menu.

This change would not affect core offline functionality of the modcore Extension Manager, only features that explicitly require server communication.

• Improved transparency regarding which features depend on online access.
• Stronger user privacy control and assurance that no remote data is transmitted.
• Consistent, predictable behavior for users who prefer isolated or local-only environments.
