Permission Transparency

modcore Extension Manager - Permissions & Transparency

modcore Extension Manager respects your privacy and is designed to provide advanced functionality without tracking your data. The following permissions are used to enable specific features. No data is tracked by modcore or shared with third parties.


Permissions Explained

  • storage
    Used for saving and retrieving extension data such as user settings.

  • tabs
    Required for the Automation Rules feature. When creating a rule with the condition "When a specific URL is visited", this permission allows modcore to detect the URL in the browser to trigger the rule.

  • alarms
    Used for scheduling tasks in Automation Rules and Cloud Sync features.

    • Automation Rules: Enables triggers like "When a specific time is met"
    • Cloud Sync: Allows periodic syncing of your data according to your chosen schedule
  • management
    Enables management of designs, extensions, and apps—core functionality of modcore Extension Manager. This allows you to enable, disable, or organize your extensions efficiently.


Privacy & Security

  • Local Operations: All actions are performed locally in your browser.
  • No Tracking: modcore Extension Manager does not track your browsing activity, extensions, or personal data.
  • Third-Party Visibility: Any reporting by Google Chrome or other third parties is outside modcore’s control.
  • Full Transparency: These permissions are requested only to provide the features you choose to use—nothing more.
