Using the modcore Extension Manager Popup

This guide covers how to effectively use the modcore Extension Manager popup to manage your extensions.

Navigating modcore EM: Top Bar Overview

The navigation bar at the top of modcore EM provides quick access to key features. The icons on the right side include:

Efficiently Locating Extensions: Search and Filter Options

To quickly find extensions:

  • Search by: Name, description, or ID.
  • Filter by Type:
    • Extensions
    • Themes
    • Apps
  • Filter by Status:
    • All Statuses
    • Enabled
    • Disabled
  • Find by Groups:

Manage Extensions with Actions

Core management actions:

  • Checkbox — Enable bulk actions for multiple extensions.
  • Disable — Temporarily deactivates the extension.
  • Details — Opens the extension’s details page to view permissions, version, and metadata.
  • Uninstall (Trash icon) — Permanently removes the extension and its local data.

Bulk Actions

Bulk actions allow you to manage multiple extensions at once, including:

  • Assign extensions to a group or profile
  • Remove extensions from all groups or profiles
  • Enable or disable extensions
  • Uninstall extensions

Profiles: Tailor Your Extension Setup

Profiles let you switch between different sets of extensions for specific tasks or workflows, e.g., "Work," "Personal," or "Gaming."

Profile Features:

  • Creating Profiles — Establish a new custom profile
  • Creating from Current State — Save the current extension configuration
  • Applying a Profile — Switch to a saved profile instantly
  • Duplicating a Profile — Copy an existing profile
  • Deleting a Profile — Remove an unwanted profile
  • Configuring a Profile — Customize included extensions, assign a global shortcut, rename

Click the Configure (Settings) icon to open profile configuration.

Groups: Organize Your Extensions

Groups help categorize extensions, with each extension belonging to a single group.

Group Features:

  • Create Groups — Establish new extension categories
  • Activate/Deactivate Groups — Enable or disable all extensions in a group
  • Delete Groups — Remove unwanted groups
  • Ungroup All Extensions — Remove all extensions from groups
  • View Count — See the number of extensions in each group
  • Configure Group — Rename, assign a shortcut, or set shortcut actions

Click the Configure (Settings) icon to open group configuration.

Quick Actions Menu

Right-click an extension to access the Quick Actions menu. Available options:

  • Extension name, version, and ID
  • Groups or profiles the extension belongs to
  • View extension details (Details Page)
  • Add to a group or profile, or remove from all groups/profiles
  • Uninstall the extension

Click outside the menu to close it.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Boost workflow with these shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + Shift + A — Select or deselect all extensions
  • Ctrl + Shift + F — Reset all search and filter options
  • Ctrl + Shift + G — Open group management modal
  • Ctrl + Shift + P — Open profile management modal
  • Shift + / — Focus the search bar
