Moneat Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Moneat ("the Project"). This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") documents the rights granted by contributors to Moneat. By submitting a Contribution to the Project, you accept and agree to the following terms.

1. Definitions

"Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to an existing work, that you submit to the Project in any manner (e.g., via pull request, patch, issue, or email).

"You" (or "Your") means the individual or legal entity submitting a Contribution.

"Moneat" means the Moneat project maintainers and copyright holders.

2. Grant of Copyright License

You hereby grant to Moneat a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and any derivative works.

3. Grant of Patent License

You hereby grant to Moneat a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone or by combination of your Contribution with the Project.

4. Right to Sublicense

Moneat may sublicense the rights granted in Sections 2 and 3 to third parties under any license terms, including proprietary licenses. This right enables Moneat to include community contributions in both the open-source core (AGPLv3) and the proprietary enterprise edition.

5. Representations

You represent that:

a) You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses.

b) Each of your Contributions is your original creation, or you have sufficient rights to submit it under this Agreement.

c) If your employer has rights to intellectual property that you create, you have received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or your employer has waived such rights.

d) Your Contribution does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights.

6. Support; Warranty Disclaimer

You are not expected to provide support for your Contributions except as you choose. Your Contributions are provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind.

7. Agreement

You agree that this Agreement may be electronically signed. You accept this Agreement by submitting a Contribution to the Project or by adding your name to the CLA signature file.
