I would like to know if it can also work for portable browsers and how please ?

It should, but if they are not registered with windows as a url handler, you will need to add them manually in the configuration window

Unfortunately by going through Windows it didn't work for Google Chrome Portable, because Windows detects it and I can choose it but all links keep opening in the installed Google Chrome into Program Files (x86) :-(

So I hoped to succeed with your software...

in a recent version I changed the detection logic so it used the full path and not just the executable name, so that sounds a little odd to me.
could you please run the command reg export HKCU\Software\BrowserPicker bp.reg and share the contents of bp.reg here?

Thanks, that does look right to me, but selecting it in the list still opens the link in the regular chrome install?
