[Intermittent] Sync error encountered for a new Firefox account #127

Build:
FxA Stage [Train 1.151.0]

Affected platforms:
Windows 10 64-bit

Affected versions:
Firefox 70.0.1

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Firefox and click on the FxA toolbar menu button.
  2. Type a new email address which does not have associated a Firefox Account and click “Continue” button
  3. Fill with valid credentials all the fields and select a few sync options (bookmarks, history) in registration form
  4. Complete the account creation flow.
  5. Add a few bookmarks and gather some browsing history.
  6. Perform a sync.
  7. Login using the same account on a new profile/device and check the sync data.

Expected results:
Selected type of data is successfully synced.

Actual Results:

  • Sync is not performed.
  • A sync error is encountered.
  • All sync preferences seem to be check when log ing on a new device.

[Additional notes]:

  • This issue is intermittent.
  • This issue was not encountered on FxA Prod [150.0.9]
  • I am attaching 2 sync error log received for 2 different users.
