This is not an issue but a 'thank you'. I had a dire need to do some testing in Plex so I added my ~45k collection on my NAS drive into Plex.
listporter worked immediately (running on a Mac) and made what I was trying to do possible. I learned a lot about Plex in the process. Even though it's running on my QNAP NAS which allows all characters in file paths, Plex really doesn't like characters which are not valid in Windows filenames. This was easy to fix.
I also added ./ to the front of all relative paths in my m3u files. This made it far easier to use the forced replacement strategy implemented in listporter.
... now if Plex actually used all the tags from my files when importing as it's configured, things would be easier. All files tagged as Various Artists (with compilation set) ended up under a seemingly random chosen artist.
