can you build on ubuntu 16.04 for tensorflow 1.9 with cuda 9.2? because i don't have the root access

I'm currently attempting to do this with the settings described in this tutorial: http://www.python36.com/how-to-install-tensorflow-gpu-with-cuda-9-2-for-python-on-ubuntu/2/ on Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS with Python 3.5.2. I don't mind sharing the .whl if I can actually get it to compile.

Have you tried building tf-nightly-1.9? I don't know which version of cuda can it build on? I built it on cuda-9.0 but Tensorflow did not use gpu acceleration.
