Add function for querying for data to DAC

For MULTIPLY we need the possibility to receive informations on available data and from where these data can be retrieved (e.g., whether it needs to be downloaded first).
Currently it is only possible to receive data url's which are already local. With the advent of data stores from which data must first be downloaded this is not a feasible approach.
