Could the loop-end marker be allowed to precede the loop-begin marker so that the enclosed region will be skipped during playback? Would be real helpful. Now I have to delete the region and reconnect everything by dragging parts and automation points to their new positions just to evaluate the result.

Yes I know, it would be helpful if there was a way to skip over sections.

Not sure if or when your idea could be implemented. It is in theory a simpler idea than I've had.
I've had an idea for quite some time now:
'Jump' or 'Branch' markers. Almost like al coda or DC al coda music symbols.
If the 'Jump' is forward it will skip over a section.
If the 'Jump' is backwards, each marker could have a number associated with it,
indicating how many times to repeat before moving on.

Additionally, 'Subroutine' markers could mark an area as a repeatable re-usable 'sub section'
that could be branched to and automatically return when done.
