Add unit tests and Github actions workflow to run them

relative-deps package is still being used, ~15k weekly downloads on npm.

As of Nov 25 it has 6 open PRs and 20 open issues.

Merging the PRs/addressing the issues would be way easier with an extensive set of unit tests.
