Hi James and all,
Firstly thanks for popping up this Community site, I totally get your logic, re: Discord and crossed paths, mixed messages and all that, so glad to be here.
I'm the @Suvetar chap over on YouTube, but my name is Rune, pleased to meetcha!
I'm from over Derbyshire way.
Just started to watch your Roguelike part 1 and as I know you're a fellow fan of them, have you seen the
Usborne "Write your own Fantasy Games", it's basically 2 programs (a editor, and a player) for their
BASIC Roguelike called "Dungeon of Doom".
As many of their others from that time, it's free here:

Just wanted to say hello and that I really appreciate your time and effort, you don't need to do any of all this, but it's awesome that you do.
I rather enjoy your programming style too, you're humble, you do follow the rabbit-hole, but that's exactly how I program too!
I've been coding professionally for crikey, 30 years now, wrote my first sat on me Dads knee at 6 years old on his brand new NAAFI Commodore 64!
Was just some really buggy move a Petscii smile around the screen and it's crash if you went near the edges and all sorts of things - but it was 'ours' and believe me it took 'ours' to type in and then learn to save, before hitting Run with a deep sense of Triumph and then a abject sense of of s***ugar!
That was well before we knew about the run-stop button being able to get your BASIC code back after a soft reset!
Ahh, Them were't days, Aye!
Edit: I should say coding like that - I am referring to what is getting more popularly known as Recreational Coding, and believe - it's great to metaphorically let your hair down and just faff around
