Hey,

It is possible to add a Wish/Greetingbox there send a PM to the actually Host when there are not the AutoDJ? I love the currently Version of the Radio Station Plugin and that i one of the Features there i miss currently into the Plugin.

So, you can add the Name of the AutoDJ and when that is Not the same Name you can activating / deactivating the Box as Host and the Listener can send you a Wish of Greet with in.

This is something I've thought about, but it comes with all sorts of issues.

First, the audience member could be listening on desktop or mobile, so the feature would have to be present all the time, similar to the support chat bots we now interact with. Adding that type of chat bot would constantly conflict with support chat bots should a station use one.

So, the feature might then be a pop-over that is centered over the page and the message can be sent that way. Or, in Radio Station PRO, the chat can be part of Stream Player with a talk icon opening the message text field.

On the host side, how does the host get the message? The host would need to be logged into the site and in WordPress they might be creating the playlist as the show progresses and not looking at the notifications. So in WordPress we'd need to find a place foe these notifications - or are they sent by email to the host.

So, there are product development challenges to this that need thoughtful consideration.

I think, the best and easiest way are, that geh Host have a Account on the Page and have the role Host.

Maybe via PM, so that not disturb directly when the make the Show but can see there have a new one into the Box.

Maybe that possible that the Admin make a General Option but the host can avaible for the announcenent like PM or Email.

Right now, we are focused on building out a hybrid mobile app powered by Radio Station PRO. So, something like this would have to wait for a few months to get to it. It's something I'm interested in doing, but it's not a feature that has been requested.

iHeart Media, here in the United States, has a "talk back" feature on their app, which allows the audience to send in audio snippets to the host, but they have automation systems that can take those audio snippets and add them to the playout system for inclusion in the show, I think. That could be something useful, as well.

I like the idea with the App but it is not more easier to have this Feature into the currently plugin with the role function for a host for example?

First, if a host is assigned to a show, the host will always display under the Hosts tab.

What can happen is that the host must log in and toggle whether they are "In Studio" or some other term, and that if the host logs in and clicks In Studio, then a chat window can be accessed by the host in the Radio Station admin.

So, if the Host says In Studio, then the Chat admin in Radio Station PRO is active on the backend and on the front end, but we can't just have it as an open chat. The person who wants to chat with the host must login, or you'll have all kinds of spam coming trhrough the chat box. That requires we build in some method of logging in to the chat.

Maybe we build in a 3rd party tool for this.

When you say, PM, that's a private message. The user could always use the station email address for that in the contact area where the email icon is avaiable, but to make it more advanced, it would definitely need login functionality and authentication to make sure the person asking to chat with the host verifies themselve in some way, shape, or form.
