harfbuzz version too old?

I got an error trying to install vessel, I was told this info would help.

I have the desktop icon, but nothing happens when i click it ot right click and use open

vessel

Ok, I have tried to install vessel, and it hung up.

When I put vessel into the terminal I get this:
(vessel:30363): Pango-ERROR **: 14:06:42.033: Harfbuzz version too old (1.4.2)

Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

I've tried updating, but it hasn't helped.

How are you trying to install vessel? I am not familiar with HarfBuzz but it doesn't seem to be included in the dependencies anywhere. If you can give me a few more steps to reproduce I can try to assist further.

I am nearly computer illiterate.
I have managed to download vessel for linux.
I have linux mint 20.
If you can give me the terminal commands to enter, I can tell you what it returned.
What you have there is what it returned when the other fella tried to help me out.
He suggested I try here because he didn't know the answer to my issue.

Alright no worries give me a day or two and I'll debug it on Linux Mint and make a Quickstart guide
