Search is always specific to the selected mailbox. Sub mailboxes are not searched.

Describe the solution you'd like

In the archive folder, I create a subfolder for each archive year. For my use cases, it would be helpful if I could integrate sub-mailboxes into a search query (search with/without sub-mailboxes). This could also be helpful for users who structure their inboxes with subfolders.

I use Thunderbird. I've successfully tested the search in subfolders. I can also limit the search to the current folder.

Is it a checkbox? Mind sharing a screenshot?

I'm guessing this makes sense, as an advanced search option.
