Understanding imageToRemoteImagingLocus #29

Description

@acpaquette

Hello!

I have a couple questions with regard to imageToRemoteImagingLocus, I know it is a Friday so I don't expect much back until Monday this coming week.

My main question is in the documentation for imageToRemoteImagingLocus, stating:

// Note that there are two opposite directions possible. Both are
// valid, so either can be returned; the calling application can convert
// to the other as necessary.

Are the "directions" in references to a forward and backward representation of the locus? If this is the case how would a calling application determine which to use?

Also if there is a better place to post a question like this then please let me know!

Thank you for your time!
