chess figures look weird

I really like the program, but i use powerlevel-10k and the patched nerd font meslo, which is specifically for powerlevel10k, yet my chess figures look weird, do you know why? As Terminal i use guake.

Do they look different with another font? That'd be my guess

Same here, no matter what font I choose (Knack NF, DejaVu Mono for Powerline, etc.)

Same here in Windows Terminal with WSL. I tried several fonts and it does not change anything.

I have the same issue in both OSX and Arch, tried in iterm2 and kitty with multiple nerd fonts. @nickzuber what font do you use?
