Can't figure out how to generate a specific theme

I am not used to github so I apologize if this is not the appropriate way to ask for help.
I am trying to generate a gallery with the theme inverted but I would like to have a night mode page, with dark background rather than white.
Reading the help output I can't figure out the appropriate way to do this.
Can I have some help, please?

I just checked and the inverted theme seems to be broken. So someone needs to look into this to fix it. I would have guessed that -t inverted --default-style=simple_theme_dark would have worked but it does not.

Hello niol, thank you for getting back to me.
I didn't realize that using --default-style=(style name) would change a style so your answer did teach me something. It's a shame the theme doesn't work.
I attempted this
lazygal --theme=nojs --default-style=SHARED_purple.css

hoping it would generate a purple themed nojs but alas, that also did not work.
Is there any available theme that has a theme that is not white as far as you know?
