RPDP does not work in Ubuntu VM

Running Ubuntu as a VM in Lima on a Mac

After enabling X11 forwarding and installing a ton of 32 bit libraries on the 64 bit Ubuntu image I am getting at least the processes to launch but the apps don't launch

I get

rpdp tvcon
remote connection to 192.168.0.200

and if I launch the command directly

/opt/rpdp/bin/tvcon -2BS 192.168.0.200
