Client should resume downloads from an existing directory instead of creating duplicate folders like Personal (2)

My client got stuck on syncing and I had logout and re-login.
Upon logging in again, I selected my Personal folder to sync and it created a duplicate folder called Personal (2) and started downloading everything from scratch...

Ideally, client should be able to re-use an existing folder.

This only happens if you remove a space and re add it, or when something during setup goes terribly wrong.
