How about deploying openfoodfacts-explorer at a subdomain compatible with SEO, where we could mention to crawler that it's same as the original (and avoid crawling, and avoid penalties for duplicate content) ?
Something like:
new.openfoodfacts.org/product/12346788

We could then have a way for users to opt-in to the new experience.
