Allow user to choose Directionality

Add option for the graph to be plotted:

1. Left to right (as at present)
2. Right to left
3. Top to bottom

I have added a parameter that allows this to be controlled through the scripts. We would need to add controls to the demo and instructions on how to use this in user applications to complete this work.

I tested the added parameters and they effectively break the graph due to the way in which the custom edges are calculated. This would be fixable but is definitely non-trivial.

Hi all - has there been any progress on this issue? We found the "rankDir" option "TB" (Top-Bottom) but as mentioned here, the arrows don't get rendered.
We are currently doing a project for a client who is keen for the graph to be rendered vertically rather than horizontally as it matches their current ownership hierarchy forms (paper) and would make validating much easier.

Hi @philip-long-nz - there's no development on this tool planned at the moment. As an open source tool, it's open to development by contributors, though. Or get in touch with us at Open Data Services if you're interested in funding some work.
