Wikibase REST API broken

Hi,

Some of the Wikibase REST APIs do not work anymore. Some weeks ago, they still did.

The error is coming from the sitelinks. Calls for the item’s labels, descriptions, aliases, and statements return successfully, but the sitelinks return the same unexpected-error code.

This feels reminiscent of the problem in #1214. I really wonder if our hack to normalize spaces into underscores is more trouble than it’s worth. That’s the only reason we maintain a custom subclass of Site, right? @nyurik, do you know if anything breaks automatically if we remove that normalization? Maybe we can implement something in JavaScript to normalize IDs and such when the user inputs them.

Yes, it is still on my plate, just trying to dig myself out of all the commitments. I may need to ask for the test server to suspend chef runs, or better yet - @tomhughes would it be possible for me to suspend and resume it myself on the test server when I connect to it? So that I don't have to bug you in the middle of the night when I find some time to work on it?

I've made you an admin on muirdris now @nyurik so you have full sudo and can use systemctl stop cinc-client.timer to stop the chef runs.
