The AP1117 voltage regulator has been deprecated. I can't find the exact copy of the datasheet anymore, but it was indicated in a note in a recent revision to the datasheet that the drop-in replacement part number is AZ1117. No design changes are needed, it's a fully compatible drop-in. All that would be needed is a documentation/BOM change. The new part number can be found here on LCSC. I believe this same part is used on the Lumen mobo, and the same change should be made there as well.
