Description

the power regulation circuitry on the feeder mainboard is not optimally efficient. the buck converter used is also expensive and hard to source for many community memebers.

Suggested Solution

Redesign the power electronics to use a new buck converter for the 10v rail that is more readily available and efficient. Also explore more efficient methods of getting our 3.3v rail rather than an LDO.

Maybe I was wrong to do so but I left my Opullo online 24h/24h. After a few weeks, the plastic part holding the reel melt and all my reels now stand on the desk.

This part is inserted very closed to the U5 buck converter. However even if the efficiency is not great I still don't understand why it is getting so hot on stand by consumption.

My setup is

• 12 feeders (position 1 - 12)
• A very hot summer with no AC in the office.
